Dublin - An Introduction
THE CITY
Dublin is a growing suburb on the northwest corner of Columbus. It is an affluent, residential & white collar city of about 40,000 people, with a quaint "Historic Dublin" section and many newer neighborhoods surrounding the older section. Dublin has strict building codes which have resulted in gorgeous streetscapes, green space and walking trails in most neighborhoods, 38 parks, 8 golf courses. The O'Shaughnessy Reservoir (lake) has private homes as well as public access for fishing, sailing & boating.
Proud of it's link to the Irish, Dublin hosts an annual St. Patrick's Day Parade and a huge Irish Festival & Street Fair in August. The Muirfield Country Club hosts the PGA's Memorial Golf Tournament each Memorial Day weekend. Dublin has an outstanding public Recreation Center with pools (diving, lap swim, playground), racketball, theater, games, workout center and more.
